Get Your Home Guest Ready

We are making exciting plans to host our friends and family after so long. Getting your home ready for guests doesn’t need to be difficult with our handy tips for making them feel right at home.

Declutter

The first rule is to remember that your home does not need to be perfect! Gradually start by decluttering and cleaning the surfaces all of the rooms in your home, then finish off with hoovering every room. A clean and tidy space wont go unnoticed.

Your Guest Room Checklist

Next up the sleeping space, You will need some comfortable and fresh bed linen our Bed Sets are affordable and come with matching pillowcases. We recommend using a plain white high quality duvet cover set like this Laura Duvet Cover Set by Charlotte Thomas.

Pay attention to stylish additional details such as Cushion Covers and Bed Runners which add personality to the room. Swap your bed runner with a Cosy Throw in the cooler months, we recommend doing this a day or two before their arrival. Ensure your guests have everything they need by placing some extra fresh towels in the room so there’s no rummaging at the last minute, if you can, clear some space in the wardrobe with some spare hangers.

If you’re having young children to stay, consider adding some toys in their room to keep them occupied. A teddy bear or a book will bring them extra comfort from being away from home.

Make sure your bathroom has all the necessary toiletries such as shower gel and shampoo that your guests may have forgotten to pack.

A Warm Welcome

Check the temperature in your home, for hot weather ensure your guests are able to cool down, in colder months, make sure your home is heated. Pay attention to detail in communal areas.
